Paul Claydon is a U.K. qualified Partner in the London office of Morrison & Foerster and head of that office’s Corporate Group.

Paul Claydon has more than 18 years of experience in the provision of advice on IPOs and other securities issues, private equity transactions and mergers & acquisitions.  His clients include corporates, private equity funds and investment banks.  Mr. Claydon’s practice covers a range of industries, and he has particular expertise in advising on deals in the Pharmaceutical and Life Science industries.

Mr. Claydon joined Morrison & Foerster in 2005 from the London office of Weil, Gotshal & Manges.  He currently heads the Corporate Group of Morrison & Foerster’s London office and is a frequent speaker and writer on a range of corporate law topics.

  • Advised Intercytex Group plc, the wound care and aesthetic medicine company, on its successful IPO on the UK Alternative Investment Market.
  • Advised ReNeuron Group plc, the UK-based adult stem cell research company, on its successful IPO on the UK Alternative Investment Market.
  • Advised the private equity owners of Cambridge Biotechnology Limited on the sale of the company to BioVitrum A/B.
  • Advised Ardana plc, an emerging healthcare company, on its successful IPO on the main market of the London Stock Exchange.
  • Advised Songbird Estates plc, the Morgan Stanley/Glick family acquisition vehicle, on its successful £1.7 billion public takeover of Canary Wharf Group plc.
  • Advised directory company Yell Group plc on its IPO on the main market of the London Stock Exchange and related £1.14 billion fundraising.
