Mr. Tan is a partner in the Business Department of Morrison & Foerster and is resident in the firm's Shanghai office. Mr. Tan has represented numerous US and Asia-based clients in a wide range of corporate work, including real estate, project finance and development, joint ventures and strategic alliances. He specializes in counseling multinational corporations, particularly in China, in foreign direct investments, acquisition and development of real estate and other infrastructure projects.

Mr. Tan graduated from the University of Bristol in England with a First-Class LLB Honors degree and started his legal career in the Supreme Court of Singapore as a Justices’ Law Clerk, clerking principally for the Chief Justice and the Court of Appeal Judges. He is admitted to the Bar in England and Wales, the Singapore Bar and the New York Bar.
