Samuel Ng is an associate of Morrison & Foerster’s Hong Kong office. He specializes in advising on listings and public offerings, capital markets transactions, securities regulatory compliance, and other corporate transactions in Hong Kong and China.

Prior to joining Morrison & Foerster, Mr. Ng worked in the Listing Division of the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited (SEHK) from 2003 to 2007, where he had served in various positions with the last position being Assistant Manager in the IPO Team. His responsibilities at the SEHK included working with sponsors and other regulatory authorities on IPOs of equity securities on the Main Board and GEM of the SEHK and reviewing prospectuses and related announcements and documents for over 30 companies. He also handled compliance and monitoring such as reviewing announcements, circulars, and waiver applications for over 40 Main Board listed companies. His experience with the SEHK afforded him a thorough understanding of Listing Rules issues, waivers, disclosures, and compliance and monitoring matters.

Mr. Ng was admitted as a qualified solicitor in Hong Kong in 2002. He received a bachelor of laws degree with Second Class Honors (Division One) in 1999 and a PCLL in 2000 from the University of Hong Kong. He speaks fluent English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
