Professional Summary



Ping Cai is an associate in Morrison & Foerster’s Beijing office. She is a general corporate lawyer and also a member of the firm’s real estate group. Ms. Cai has extensive experience in real estate sector, including land grant, real estate development and acquisition, and project financing, etc. Her practice also covers cross-border investments, merger and acquisitions, venture capital and private equity financing, and etc.

Prior to joining Morrison & Foerster, Ms. Cai worked in a U.S. law firm in Mountain View, where she advised entrepreneurs and venture capitalists investing in high-tech area on matters related to corporate structure, incorporation, financing and Chinese law. She also worked 6 years in a leading PRC law firm, where her practice focuses on foreign direct investment, merger and acquisition and other general corporate matters. She has represented a number of multinationals and international investment banks for their investments in a broad range of industries, such as real estate, natural resources, IT, pharmaceuticals, and etc.

Ms. Cai received her L.L.B and L.L.M from China University of Political Science and Law in 1996 and 1999, respectively. She also received an L.L.M in International Business Practice from Boston University School of Law in 2006.

Ms. Cai was admitted to practice in the State of New York and also qualified to practice in China. She is a native Mandarin speaker and fluent in English.
