Paul McKenzie is a partner based in the Beijing office who travels frequently between the firm's PRC and Hong Kong offices to assist clients in both the Mainland and Hong Kong. He is a member of the firm’s China Practice and has practiced in Hong Kong and Beijing since 1993, focusing on corporate transactions and regulatory compliance matters in the PRC and Hong Kong. Prior to joining Morrison & Foerster in 2005, Mr. McKenzie was the managing partner of another major U.S. law firm’s Hong Kong office.

Mr. McKenzie has assisted numerous Asian, Chinese and Fortune 500 companies on a diverse range of matters including acquisitions and divestitures, resource development projects, strategies for licensing and distribution of software products and IPR protection in the PRC, structures for sale and distribution activities in China, tax structuring, and the development and construction of infrastructure facilities.

Mr. McKenzie received his LL.B from the University of Toronto in 1989. He is admitted to practice in Hong Kong (1998) and British Columbia, Canada (1990). He is fluent in English and Chinese.
