Nathan D. Taylor is an associate in the Financial Services Practice Group in the Washington, D.C. office of Morrison & Foerster LLP. Mr. Taylor's practice focuses on consumer financial services and the regulation of financial institutions. For example, Mr. Taylor handles matters relating to: privacy and data security issues, including compliance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act, the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act privacy and security requirements, and state security breach notification and security freeze statutes; general banking issues, including issues relating to bank-owned life insurance, permissible activities for bank holding companies, and compliance with state small-loan laws; and electronic fund transfer issues, including compliance with Regulation E and the National Automated Clearing House Association rules.

Mr. Taylor received his B.S. degree from McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University, cum laude, in 2000. He received his J.D. degree from the University of Virginia School of Law in 2003, where he was a Notes Editor on the Virginia Law Review.

Mr. Taylor is a member of the Virginia State Bar and the District of Columbia Bar. Mr. Taylor also is admitted to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
